All this research hasn't be changes or added to because I believe I didn't need or want to because I found out all I wanted to when this research was undertaken.
Name Ideas
To come up with a name for my music magazine, I have gone through a process of research and brainstorms.
I undertook some research into previous pop music magazine names. I used google images to undertake this research. When I looked on google images, I found out that a large majority of the names included the word “pop”.
This made me think. I thought to go on http://thesaurus.com. I typed in pop and it gave me synonyms for the word “pop”. Some of words it came out with include
- Burst
- Crack
- Leap
- Explosion and finally
- Jump.
From the selection of words, I most liked the word explosion.
I then took some research into more words relating to this word. I did a brainstorm.
From this research, I can up with the final name of
“EXPLOSIVE POP”
This name includes the word “pop” and sounds interesting, which I wanted to include.
Ideas for Mastheads
These are ideas for my fonts for my masthead. To find a range of different font designs, I looked on dafont.com. Out of a range of fonts, I decided I liked these the most. I intend to design a masthead, which includes all the features I like the most about all of them.
Font 1: I like how this font looks shiny. I thin this look goes along with the pop side of the magazine I wish to create.
Font 2: I like how this font is big and bold looking. This would make it stand out, when placed on a background and with a story next to it.
Font 3: The main part of this font I like is the “S”. I like how it is longer than the rest of the letters and would make a vocal point of the music magazine.
Font 4: I like how the font goes with the “Explosive” part of the title. The font makes the name look electric and different. From my research, i didn't see any names that looked like this.
